Hi, I own a Cee'd 2012 1.4 CRDi. After 3 years and 40k km, the glowplugs have gone. I tried to replace them but they are hard to reach. They seat in the rear side of the engine.
If you do really want to drain it connect a piece of hose to the black connector and let the end run into a glass container. unscrew the plastic tang a little and let pressure release. DO it back up again. Disconnect your makeshift hose and get as much diesel out of the hose into the clear container. Check the container to see if its all diesel
